Benchlight is provided by Winter Watermelon. Your private offer identifies the exact version, fixed USD price, included pages, feature plan and deliverables. Opening a proof or asking questions is free.

Your website purchase

Payment buys the approved version and the deliverables stated in your offer. Website and source ZIPs are also available for portability. Downloads unlock after secure payment confirmation. Hosting with Benchlight is optional: it is free for the first 60 days after you start it, then $9 a month or $99 a year, billed by Stripe until you cancel. Your first round of basic changes after buying a website is free; later rounds are charged as shown. You can cancel anytime from your workspace, and you can always download your website files to host elsewhere. Domain renewals and third-party subscriptions are separate, except on the done-for-you plan below. We do not promise search rankings, visitor numbers or revenue.

Hosting your own website files

You can bring your own supported website files, including files made with an assistant, without buying a Benchlight website rebuild. Private assistant drafts do not start hosting or billing. Hosting starts when you choose a plan and complete checkout on Benchlight: a card is required, the first 60 days are free for that website, then Stripe bills $9 a month or $99 a year until you cancel. The price and next billing date are shown at checkout. Domain registration and renewal are separate.

Review your private preview before publishing. You approve public publishing and connect a domain you control; an assistant connection cannot do these for you. Apps that need server code, databases or external services require a separate compatibility check. You remain responsible for the rights to the files you upload.

Use Manage billing in your dashboard to cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current trial or paid period; it does not automatically refund an earlier charge. Contact support@benchlight.dev about billing problems. These terms do not limit rights given by applicable law.

Done-for-you new websites

If we build a new website for your business on the done-for-you plan, there is no setup fee and it costs $19 a month, billed by Stripe until you cancel. The plan includes hosting, a matching domain registered in your name and renewed while the plan is active, and up to two small updates a month, such as new wording, photos, opening hours or contact details. You own the domain and your business content. You can cancel anytime from your workspace. Your website stays online until the end of the period you paid for, and the domain stays yours: ask us for its transfer code to move it to another provider, or it remains registered to you until its current year ends.

Revisions

A round of basic changes covers wording, contact details, opening hours, service descriptions, or removing or reordering a section. Your first round after buying a website is free; other rounds are paid up front at the price shown. New pages, booking, online payments or a redesign get a quote first, and nothing is charged until you agree. Each completed round becomes a new version; previous versions remain available. If we cannot deliver a paid round within two business days, you may request a refund or agree a new delivery date.

Compatibility

Your offer must explain how required forms, bookings and other functions are preserved. Missing functions without an accepted delivery plan block purchase. An offer may accept payment before your web address points to us, or before you provide photos or other media, only when it lists those steps. Required functions and agreed media must be connected and verified before your website goes live. You decide when it goes live. Never send us passwords.

Ownership and remedies

You retain your business content. After payment, you may use and edit the delivered site. Reusable rendering code is nonexclusive; third-party assets retain their recorded licenses. If files differ from your accepted proof or do not operate as described, contact support for repair or refund. These terms do not limit rights given by applicable law.

If required permissions, media rights, provider or inbox access cannot be obtained, or replacement hosting on terms you accept cannot be arranged, we will agree a feasible revised plan and delivery date with you or refund the website purchase at your request before launch. We will not leave a paid launch on an indefinite hold, publish with missing required functions, or add hosting charges or other commitments without your agreement.
