YOUR WEBSITE, FROM DRAFT TO DOMAIN

Create your website. Give it a home.

Start a simple business website or bring the website files you already have. Review a private preview, then choose hosting and connect your domain when you’re ready.

No website changes or purchases happen just by opening a preview.

Start where you are.

I have an idea.

Add your business name, services and contact details to create a simple page. You don’t need a domain to start. Edit your details and check the private preview before publishing.

I have website files.

Upload a ZIP of your built HTML, CSS and JavaScript website. Include its images and every page visitors need. Review the result in your private workspace.

I have a GitHub project.

Connect GitHub and select your website source. Benchlight can build supported npm/Vite browser websites; your workspace shows whether a build is available for your project.

Preview first. Publish when you’re ready.

  1. Create your private preview.

Start a page, upload built files or connect supported source. Check your words, images, links and every route on a phone and a computer.

  2. Choose hosting and your domain.

Review the plan and its terms in your workspace. For an eligible browser website you bring, hosting has a 60-day free trial, with a payment card required to start, then costs $9 a month or $99 a year. You do not pay the $249 rebuild price for files you bring. Domain registration is separate from hosting and connecting it to your website.

  3. Approve publication and check the live site.

Publish your selected version and follow the domain instructions in your workspace. Check HTTPS, pages and contact functions before retiring your previous hosting. Keep your existing email records.

Already made a website in your conversation?

Bring the website files you made with your chosen tool. These guides explain which files to export and what to check before publishing.

Keep the whole website working.

Apps with databases, server code, accounts, payments or provider-backed forms need their services checked before a move. A working page preview does not show that those services have transferred.

For these projects, add the website to your workspace to identify its transfer requirements. See website compatibility and hosting and imports before changing your existing setup.
