The WorkbenchGuides & updates by Benchlight

Product updates

Your website has a few new jobs.

Take an order. Reserve an appointment. Keep the details together. Native shops and booking are here for free and paid Benchlight websites.

A website can introduce your business. Now it can help with the next part, too: a customer buying something you make or reserving time for something you do.

Benchlight’s online shop and appointment booking are built-in modules. You manage them from your Benchlight dashboard. They work with free and paid Benchlight websites, so adding a shop does not require upgrading the website’s hosting plan.

A shop that keeps the details together.

Add products, photos and descriptions, offer options such as size or color, and manage stock for each variant. Customers can choose shipping or local pickup according to your setup. Orders, fulfillment updates and refunds stay in your dashboard.

The shop supports up to 100 products and CSV catalog import. Guided Stripe setup prepares your business to accept payments. Your storefront and checkout use your verified website address; you do not need to write a checkout integration or subscribe to another shop platform. The current release supports US/USD domestic physical goods and local pickup.

A booking page that knows your availability.

Add services, appointment lengths, weekly hours, date-specific changes and the notice you need. Customers choose from available times, with existing appointments taken into account.

Start with reservations that collect no payment, or configure a fixed deposit or full appointment payment through Stripe. Booking emails give customers a private management link. You can view and manage appointments in your dashboard. This release uses one shared schedule; external calendar sync and multi-staff scheduling are not included.

What it costs.

Each module is $10/month per website. Choose the shop, booking, or both; they are separate subscriptions. Shops add a 5% Benchlight fee on product revenue after discounts, excluding shipping and tax. Paid bookings add 5% of the appointment amount collected online, excluding tax. Stripe processing is separate. Reservations with no online payment have no booking commission.

The website plan stays separate. See the complete pricing and review your setup before activating a module. Starting setup alone does not start the subscription.

Take a look before you start.

The dashboard demo uses fictional sample data, so you can explore the workspace without creating a real shop or appointment. The shops and booking page explains both modules and links to your account.

For a practical first step, read The 11 p.m. booking problem or our local-pickup shop guide. No website yet? You can make one free in your browser, without coding or a Claude account.

Put it to work.
